The "PST" System
Primary-secondary-tertiary
pumping (PST) is a way of designing a heating plant that saves energy
by avoiding overheating apartments in mild weather. This article
describes how primary-secondary-tertiary pumping works, and how it
ensures that the new high efficiency boilers receive the flow and
higher return water temperatures they require for long service life.
